“You will forget this face -Masataka Shimizu-” by noa- (May, 2011) noa- is a good friend of the band and an amazing artist.He has established his distinct style and because of this fluid, and adaptive process he has become a favorite in the bay area for live painting, blessing many events like Wonder-Full(SF) and The Peoples Party(Oakland), with his live improvised artwork that captivates all while flowing with the music being played at the moment of creation.. Based on noa-’s notion, “at the moment a line is drawn, one is released from all thoughts, and a supernatural ego will manifest.”, lines are drawn an instant sense, etched a rhythm of a moment on a canvas, and flown around an abstract and a figurative.” noa- collaborated with Pu22l3 and Matt Oner for their “Hear Ring Art” project, which involved live and improvised inks and liquid projections along with live music sets….from that project came the basis for the Secret Sidewalk “Mythic Octopus” series here: We are going to be closely working with noa- as well as fellow artists Santos Shelton and Erik Otto Paeste on their latest edition of their art installation show series “Meteor”.
